Mookie & The Loyalists are a Pop/Rock band from Toronto fronted by Mookie Morris. The band intertwines indie rock with an upbeat pop sound to create an optimistic mood and feeling that separates them from others. http://www.myspace.com/themookieexperience
City And The Sea are a combination of Indie Rock and Soul music from Hamilton. “Leave A Light On” is a four-song EP that maintains the band’s vocal-rich and soulful R&B roots. We Were Lovers, a perfect blend of electro and indie rock, consist of two members that come from Saskatchewan, Canada. Robyn Dell’Unto hails from Mississauga, Ontario, and first took the stage in Hamilton, supporting acts like Basia Bulat, Jill Barber and Melissa McClelland. Her music incorporates pop music in a whole new way. Cee Lo Green’s latest album “The Lady Killer” was just recently added to our INDI playlist. His music is a unique, upbeat, funk and soul blend that makes Cee Lo Green an undefined genre and a master at what he does. http://www.myspace.com/ceelogreen
The Knowledge of Us are an alternatvie and indie rock band straight out of Alberta. Taking seven months to complete, the band’s debut album Aware, is a compilation of emotional alt-rock songs that are highly melodic, dynamic and catchy. Volcanoes are from across the sea in Sheffield, United Kingdom. Their sound is definitely influenced by some of the top British indie bands such as British indie-gods Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, and The Fratellis.
